PILOT TRAINING. 

The Ikarus C42 enables us to offer Pilot Training for Microlight and National Private Pilots Licence    (NPPL) licences at very reasonable rates in a modern, comfortable, easy to fly aeroplane. Give us a try. 

We train using the British Microlight Aircraft Association (BMAA) syllabus up to the full National Private Pilots Licence (Microlight) standard. This licence entitles you to fly Microlight aircraft either solo or to    carry a passenger anywhere in the UK and some European countries. Microlights are the most economic form of flying for pleasure and the minimum training time is only 25 hours, though you may need longer. 

If you want to progress to bigger stuff your hours will count towards different types of licence. 

You can get a Microlight licence which allows you to fly solo and locally for fun in just 15 hours training.

Dual instruction                    £110 per hour - pro rata. 

Includes pre-flight briefing, instruction and debriefing and all flight costs and home landing fees. (touch      and go's charged at £3.00 each). 

Supervised Solo flights            £110 per hour - pro rata. 

Includes pre-flight briefing, instruction and debriefing and all flight costs and home landing fees. (touch      and go's charged at £3.00 each).

Ground Training 

For those all important exams we can help you through. 

Ground school - £40 per hour 

Exams - £40 per paper. 

You need to pass 5 exams: Air Law, Navigation, Meteorology, Human Performance and Aircraft Technical  to get your full licence. 

Radio Licence by arrangement. You will learn the lingo as you fly.
